Research Scientist in biotech

Job Summary: We seek a dynamic and enthusiastic bench scientist with
experience in in vitro assays and in vivo models to be part of the
Drug Discovery Department. The successful candidate will participate
in the design, development, evaluation and implementation of assays to
promote the discovery of small molecule therapeutics in the area of
Oncology. As a member of the team, the candidate will be responsible
for cell-based assay development, assay optimization/validation, and
the characterization of small molecule inhibitors. The candidate will
also participate in the development of xenograft models for in vivo
efficacy studies. The candidate should be highly flexible, multi-
tasking, and results-oriented, capable of thriving in an energetic
team environment. Duties include target evaluation, cell-based assays,
model development and data analysis. The candidate will also be
responsible for developing ideas leading to new experimentation,
coordinating technical activities and participating in group and
project meetings.

This position requires a Ph.D. in cancer biology, cell biology or
biochemistry with a minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory
experience in an industrial or academic setting, and a strong
background in oncology. Demonstrated experience in cell-based assays,
in vivo xenograft models, and fluorescence-based assays is desired.
Experience in biochemistry is a plus. Strong oral and written
communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are
necessary.
