I am writing an assignement on the public understanding of science, with
specific reference to the general public’s perceptions of nuclear power and
nuclear issues in the US and Europe. I would be grateful if anyone on this
group could point me in the direction of some recommended reading or useful
resources both in print or on the Internet.
I have found many Google archives of environmental debates from this group
both interesting and informative, hence my request.

You might search the archives of major newspapers, such as
the NY Times. Look for articles based on public opinion polls.
