I would like to know who makes Propylene Glycol Dinitrate as well as general
properties, MSDS location, etc. Any suggestions?

Propylene Glycol Dinitrate supplier wanted
Resource guide desired
We are looking for sources of chemistry related databases, ftp sites, etc.
Many times we just need a boiling point. If people will post or mail me
such references, I would be willing to assemble a resource guide for
everyone’s use. For starters, lets go with ChemAbstracts on-line. We
have the info on site regarding rates, new accounts and so on.

I am currently writing an intermediate level biochemistry textbook. Sevral
profiles of young investigators who have made notable contributions to the
field will be included. Any suggestions of names of interested individuals
would be appreciated. As currently envisioned, each profile will contain
biographical information, a brief description of research accomplishments
and possible a discussion of life experiences that contributed to the
individual’s success. Please send your suggestions to:

PTX3, what is it?
A downhill skier was recently killed in Austria, partially to blame
say the papers is the ski area for treating the snow with PTX3 to
prevent snow loss and that the chemical changes the nature of the
snow and makes it "grabby". I presume that PTX3 is a trade name
and that someone out there knows what its chemical structure is.
Chemical Abstracts lists PTX3.3 as a small peptide, but references
pertain to neurotransmitter effects, not relevant to snow. The "PT"
clearly is not platinum being spread on snow! So come on you industrial
chemists, help us out.

Mercury Poisoning : Am I
MG> A while ago, my friend broke a thermometer and put the liquid

No.

Calibrate Humidity Guage In Water Softener Brine Tank?
Having failed in sci.electronics, here goes…
Is it possible to calibrate a home relative humidity guage by setting
in the water softener brine tank for a period of time (at approx. 65
degrees F basement temperature) ? I could pile up a few salt blocks
in the tank to make a ‘stand’ for the guage to sit on. This would
be in the closed brine tank with the completely saturated salt solution
at the bottom. I seem to recall that certain chemicals can be used to
establish certain relative humidity levels. Is this true? Is this
a reasonable calibration method?
Please guys…this is not a joke. I’m looking for some home method
to verify the relative accuracy of a humidity guage.
Please E-mail me direct since I do not normally read this group.
Thanks!

I’m just overlooooooking a graveyard!
Actually, I enjoy eating breakfast on my balcony, while looking over all of the
nice flowers. I don’t think many people have a view over such a nice "garden"
which by law cannot be ruined. So if anyone ever is thinking about moving in
somewhere with a deadly type of view, it mainly has positive aspects. I just
question what people walking about in the cemetary think of me sitting on my
balcony enjoying life.
Greetings
